INTRODUCTION
The
naming of a clan is a very sacred process. It is not dictated by the
creativity alone of the facilitator, but is rather more of a download of information that best represents the existing energy
of the group as a whole. Through intuition, meditation, inspiration,
imagination, observation and deep listening the clan is named, not by a
human, but through a human by the unseen energy source that connects us
all one to another.
We are but reflections of one another, until we are
reflecting only what is inside of our heart of hearts from our purest
essence. And we will then each be one to another the most persistent of
reminders of the greatness that lies within each of us. For it is then that we are
projecting the most essential part of our highest and finest selves
from the very core of our being. And so it is wise to pay attention to
everything and everyone that comes into your space. Let no blessing go unnoticed and no message go
unheard. Be not fooled by the wrapping paper on the gift or the cover on
the book.
And so with this, we have the

The power of Black Panther lies in his ability to walk with total
strength of character and a courageous heart into the unknown, fully
embracing the mystery of life and completely enabled to wend his way to
his place of True Power with grace and confidence. His black coat is the
perfect foil when working under cover of the night and he has full
ability to defend himself, if need be. And it is in fact this ability to
walk fearlessly into our own shadow with Black Panther, that allows us
to turn our gifts fully into the light.
Those with Black Panther medicine
are powerful seers, prophets, healers and agents of change, whose gifts
most likely have been developing over the course of many lifetimes and
through the school of hard knocks in their youth and young adulthood. It
is usually in the middle years that the Black Panther really comes into
her stride, unafraid of her own self, both shadow and light aspects and
therefore never underestimating, nor overestimating anyone or any
situation.
This powerful prophet sees people
and situations with startling clarity. This can make others
uncomfortable if they are not walking with integrity or if they are
living in denial. For those who are not afraid of walking in truth,
Black Panther people are a breath of fresh air, especially when they
have tempered their insightful gifts with tact and compassion for the
plight of others and for themselves.
Black Panther knows that darkness
is a place to heal, to uncover the truth, to seek and find answers.
Through dreams, the Black Panther teaches us to look inside of ourselves
into those places that need healing, to embrace uncomfortable territory
through self-discovery and courageously face what we may find!
The panther often signals a time
of rebirth after a period of suffering and death on some level. This
implies that an old issue may finally begin to be resolved, or even that
old longstanding wounds will finally begin to heal, and with the healing
will come a reclaiming of power that was lost at the time of wounding.
Black Panther understands death and teaches people not to fear it, for
out of death comes rebirth.
It is said, "that which does not
kill us makes us stronger." It is this same idea that is awakened in the
lives of those who open to the power of the panther totem. The panther
marks a new turn in the heroic path of those to whom it comes. It truly
reflects more than just coming into one's own power. Rather it reflects
a reclaiming of that which was lost and an intimate connection with the
great archetypal force behind it. In many cases, panther energy
accompanies the activist and the advocate.
Panther is a powerful guide to
have, always bringing a guardian energy to those to whom it comes.

ease.
Your ability to see into the
hearts and minds of people can serve you well, when you embrace this
knowledge with compassion. You will know what to say and when to say it.
You will also know when to say nothing at all. Likely, you may find that
your gift of sight which can penetrate the darkness so well, can lead
you to a place of leadership, activism and advocacy. You may write
books, make movies, create poems, songs and articles that reveal, through
your profound inner vision, hidden truths dancing just below the surface,
at the soul level of all humans, poised and ready to take shape on the
planet.
Because of your courage to look
into your own dark places, nothing escapes your finely tuned senses,
instinct and intuition. After all, you cannot play a player. And you
would know, because you have gone the distance, faced your own shadow,
released judgment, learned your lessons and moved forward in life with
the intent to shorten the suffering of anyone who is willing to have it
be so! You are now part of the inoculation to mankind and to the world
for whatever suffering you have experienced and endured.
This is precisely why you are able
to embrace the unknown; because you have already done it and you have
discovered that this is where EVERYTHING resides, all keys, all
knowledge, all abundance in all things. You go into your dreams, into
the situations of your life and you lie in wait, unafraid to examine
your own egoic reactions, patterns of denial and distorted fears. And
this reaps great rewards for you. For every time you peel down to your
truest essence, your spirit is renewed, a deeper sense of self is born
and you are transformed into an expanded, more authentic version of
"You" and a new piece of your Soul is revealed to the world.
Within your beating heart and your
razor sharp mind is the antidote which your very survival and existence
anchors on the planet. However, it is when you fully step into your
power as an advocate and an activist that your legacy will become
permanently etched into the book of life and you will be a change agent
for the entire world.
